Work through these steps to get oriented with SteppingStone.
In a Jesus-centred church, everyone is welcome. SteppingStone is designed to help you draw closer to Jesus and keep His example as a key direction in our lives— not as a one-off course, but as a rhythm of growth you can return to again and again.
SteppingStone is an online discipleship program consisting of Paths (Questions & journeys to explore) made up of Steps (Individual learning opportunities). In a time of unparalled access to information we need a safe space to ask questions, learn and dialogue about what it means to be a inclusive follower of Jesus. SteppingStone is that safe place for you to grow.
We will not try to tell you what to think but help you learn how to think around the many questions that arise along the way of Jesus. Packed with content and alive with forums fdor discussion and support mechanisms we really hope SteppingStone serves you well.
SteppingStone is built around paths—themes or questions you can travel along—and steps within each path. Each step is a learning opportunity: you move at your own pace, revisit what helps you, and build understanding stone by stone.
Think of a path as the direction of travel (a big question, topic, or area of discipleship). Each step along that path is a place to pause, engage, and respond before you continue.
Ther are a number of paths designed to answer basic questions like:
Each of the paths is focused on one of three levels of experience:
Each step invites you to engage in four complementary ways—the same sections you will see when you open a step in the app:
Watch the step on video—see the story, teaching, or demonstration unfold visually.
Hear the step as a podcast—ideal for commuting, walking, or quiet reflection.
Read and study with the ebook content—go deeper at your own speed.
Use the Lab for help, resources, practice questions, and next steps as you apply what you have learned.
